The key word is "help."

According to the National Health Council, Easter Seals ranks first among member charities at allocating the greatest percentage of its resources to direct patient services-and has for the last 17 years.

That means contributors to Easter Seals have complete assurance that their money is helping those who need it most. Here in Central Illinois, 93% of our fundraising dollars stay right here in Christian, Clark, Coles, Cumberland, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Logan, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, and Shelby counties.

The key word is "help," because Easter Seals does just that, for thousands of people with disabilities in a variety of ways.

Easter Seal Society of Central Illinois provides the following services:

Speech Therapy
Offering quality services for all ages throughout the twelve county service area.

Pathways to Independence
Helping people with developmental disabilities become productive members of the community.

Kids on the Block/Bobby the Bunny
Kids on the Block – An educational puppet program that promotes disability awareness and social concerns. Bobby the Bunny – a disability awareness program for preschool through grade 1.

Free Support Services
Including blood pressure screening, hearing screening, medical equipment loans, handicapped parking cards, summer speech therapy clinics and summer camp scholarship assistance.

K.A.R.S. (Kids are Riding Safely)
Providing car safety seats for children with special needs.

Circle Project
Providing information on adaptive equipment to home health caregivers, people with special needs and their families.

E.A.R.T.H. Project
Job training for youth with disabilities.

Weatherization Assistance
Free weatherizing materials through the Energy Assistance Foundation.

Summer Reading Tutoring

Agrability
Promoting Independence in agriculture for people with disabilities and their families.
